Miguel OyarbideMiguel Oyarbide joined ACCSR as a consultant in September 2011, mainly focused on reporting and strategy. He has extensive international experience in corporate responsibility consultancy and in international development.

Previously, he worked as a corporate responsibility consultant for Responsables Consulting in Madrid and as an ESG analyst for Maplecroft in the UK. He has worked with clients in sectors such as finance, construction, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and media on a wide range of projects – from stakeholder engagement or reporting to designing sustainability strategies or developing management tools for informing decision-making.

Miguel’s first degree is in Sociology with a specialisation in Policy Evaluation and he holds a Masters in Globalisation and International Policy Analysis from the University of Bath. His Master’s dissertation explored the capacity of voluntary sustainability-related initiatives to influence their corporate members’ behaviour from an incentive-based approach. His main areas of interest at the moment are organisational learning and creating shared value. Also, he has authored a number of papers and articles on several sustainability issues, such as corporate responsibility and commercial television, community-based responsible tourism and greenwashing.
