This workshop will help you understand the techniques and change processes to develop a plan to build capacity for a sustainable strategy within your organisation. You will develop a strategic vision for delivering sustainable value to your stakeholders and will learn how to align your managers toward your sustainable goals.

Sanjay Sharma is a leading thinker on corporate sustainability. He has facilitated training workshops on strategic change for sustainability for dozens of private and public sector organisations and international agencies such as the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank. FIVE-PART CSR TRAINING COURSE IN MELBOURNE – AUGUST-OCTOBER 2008

ACCSR is holding a five-part training course in corporate social responsibility in Melbourne. These workshops will provide indispensable guidance on understanding CSR, CSR communications, reporting, CSR strategy, and measurement.

1. Introducing CSR: Tuesday 26th August, 9.30am-12.30pm
This will be the first workshop in the series. In this half-day program participants are introduced to the concept of CSR and how it is practiced around the world.
2. ExperienceCSR: Tuesday 9th September, 9.30am-4.30pm
ExperienceCSR is our award-winning, business simulation that helps participants across a range of backgrounds and experience levels understand and manage CSR. This one-day program teaches participants how to develop and implement effective CSR strategy and tactics.
3. Communicating CSR: Tuesday 14th October, 9.30am-12.30pm
This half-day program provides invaluable guidance on effective CSR communications. Participants will learn how to credibly communicate CSR to a range of stakeholders.
4. Reporting CSR: Tuesday 14th October, 2.30pm-5.30pm
Learn about the essentials of credible CSR and Sustainability Reports in this half-day program.
5. Measuring CSR: Tuesday 21st October, 9.30am-12.30pm
Participants will learn how to evaluate critically the vast array of CSR measures available to understand their quality and usefulness in a given organisational context.

ExperienceCSR WORKSHOPS IN MELBOURNE, BRISBANE AND SYDNEY (212 KB PDF)

ACCSR will be holding its popular ExperienceCSR workshop in Melbourne on the 9th September, in Brisbane on the 28th October and in Sydney on the 27th November.

ExperienceCSR is an award-winning business simulation that teaches participants how to develop and implement effective CSR strategy and tactics.

The simulation places you in the role of CSR Advisor to a hypothetical company called SkyTech that is struggling to define its role as a corporate citizen. While considering business ethics, the environment, employee relations, human rights, and community investment, you will create and implement a CSR strategy that appeals to the company's various stakeholders. In this one-day workshop you will:

  • Create a customised CSR plan for your organisation
  • Learn how to get buy-in from a range of stakeholders for your CSR plan
  • Explore CSR theory and resources
  • Share knowledge with peers in a collaborative space

La Trobe University Graduate School of Management and ACCSR Partnership
ACCSR and La Trobe University Graduate School of Management are partnering to advance education in CSR. The partnership’s first project is to develop a higher degree in corporate social responsibility by 2009.

Currently, if you wish to further your study by enrolling in a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (GCBA), La Trobe University's Graduate  School of  Management will recognise four days of ACCSR workshops and an assessment component as one elective unit towards the GCBA (subject to students meeting the entry requirements).
