The
Global Leadership Network (GLN) is a partnership
of leading global companies that works to align
corporate responsibility with core business
strategy.
Since it was established in 2004 by AccountAbility
in London, The Center for Corporate Citizenship at
Boston College, and IBM, the participants have developed
a corporate citizenship framework that identifies,
benchmarks and measures the components that define
world-class performance and leadership in corporate
citizenship.
The GLN is managed in Australia and New Zealand
by the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility.
The key benefit of the GLN to members is the strategic
alignment of corporate citizenship and business strategy
that generates scalable, long-term sustainable value
for shareholders and society alike. Additional benefits
include peer-learning opportunities with companies
that are global leaders in their industries, benchmarking
and gap analysis tools, and the opportunities to
demonstrate leadership in responding to and shaping
societal expectations of business.

"The Global
Leadership Network allows IBM to
do significantly better in the corporate
citizenship area. It will allow us to use
the kind of web-based analytics we use
in other elements of our work and enable
us to engage all the requisite players
at IBM." Stan
Litow, VP of Corporate Community Relations,
IBM and President of IBM International
