Successful organisations today realise that their prosperity depends on one critical, intangible resource – their relationships with stakeholders. This two-day workshop shows you how to integrate stakeholder engagement into your enterprise for ethical, accountable and successful business.

A highlight will be the “living case study”. Gold-mining on the environmentally sensitive Timbarra Plateau in northern NSW was halted after only 6 months due to stakeholder resistance and operational obstacles. The mine exposed a social fault-line in the community which is a microcosm of deeply felt attitudes and beliefs in Australian society. When Placer Dome assumed ownership in 2002, it committed to a constructive plan of stakeholder engagement and site remediation, which continues today.

Leeora Black is developing and delivering a course on corporate social responsibility for Monash University ’s MBA program in 2006. This course will focus on CSR from a strategic management perspective and use a variety of Australian and international case studies.
